Proverbs 31:10-31 talks about the qualities of a wise woman and as I read it, I can’t help but notice how wonderfully it fits like a hand in a glove to the qualities of my beloved wife – Sangeetha.

Today is my wife’s birthday and as I reminisce about who she has been to me in the past years that we dated and have been married, words fall short of the admiration I have for her (although many times, I dont show it or dont know how to show it). She is invaluable (vs 10), a person I can trust with my life (vs 11), does me more than good (vs 12), always seeking opportunities (vs 13), providing sustenance (vs 14), ensuring that there is food (vs 15), investing in the right areas (vs 16), staying fit and healthy (vs 17), evaluating what God has blessed her with (vs 18), working (vs 19), donating to the needy (vs 20), confident of facing the future because she plans ahead (vs 21), arrayed in fine clothes looking the best amongst all her other women friends (vs 22), making me (her husband) known amongs others (vs 23), with a business acumen (vs 24), unwavering and strong in her spirit and honorable in her words and actions (vs 25), wise and kind (vs 26), never NEVER idle but constantly looking after the house (vs 27).
Our son Reuben often expresses to her as to how much he loves her (vs 28) and I truly know how blessed he is to have a mother like her and she is to have a son like him.

The Bible says in Proverbs 19:14 that a prudent wife is from the Lord.
To add to it all, I cant even stop to thank God for how blessed I am for having given me a wise (a prudent) woman as wife and a wonderful son. I am truly highly favored.

Among all of the woman in the world, from the time of Eve, I can honestly and genuinely say – that my wife, Sangeetha Johnson is infact the MOST EXCELLENT of them all.
When I met her, I realized that she could love no one more, except her Savior and God – Jesus Christ, than she loves me (and I am cool with that as that is how it ought to be).

I wish I could reflect an ounce of the love she shows to me and Reuben and am learning and working at trying to be the husband that she desires me to be – more loving and caring for her needs. I am not there yet, but hope to be someday. As for today, happy birthday, Sangs. I love you lots. Kisses and Hugs. Love you, dear.

Proverbs 31:10-31
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
