When a person is knighted, it is a great honor that is bestowed on that individual. The individual generally kneels down, as the queen taps each shoulder with a sword and dubs the person a knight. The persons receives a sword, a suit of armor and a pair of spurs  to represent the new status.

When we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are commissioned to be Knights In Savior’s Service (K.I.S.S). We kneel before Him with humility accepting His Lordship and swearing our allegiance to Him and by the sword of His mouth (which is the word of God), we are tapped on our shoulders and giving the honor of being a Knight in the service of Jesus, THE Savior. We are given a Sword (His word to share), a suit of the Armor (of God) and Spurs to be worn in our feet always to Go on His Commission with readiness for the Gospel of Peace (Ephesians 6:15). Our new status is one of great honor, which is Knights In Savior’s Service (K.I.S.S)

Interestingly, the origin of the word “Knight” comes from the Old English word cniht which means servant and is akin to Old High German kneht which means military follower. We are Knights In Savior’s Service (K.I.S.S) are to be “following servants” and “fighting soldiers” in the army of the King of kings and Lord of lords; Jesus Christ, the commander-in-chief of the army of God. We are to be Knights in the power of His might (Ephesian 6:10), and not our own.

Are you/Am I a Knight In Savior’s Service?

Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)
10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
