On our way to the Great Wall at Badaling on November 10, 2011, we stopped over at the Ming Tombs which is where thirteen emperors of China have been buried. We were able to visit the oldest and the grandest of the tombs known as the Chang Tomb, where emperor Yongle aka ZhuDi and his empress are buried. On our way there, our tour guide made a very interesting 
statement. She said that, from the very day that someone becomes the emperor, they start to plan for their death as well and begin the construction of their own tomb, taking several years to complete it. In other words, the emperor lives as if he is dying (daily).
In our Christian life, we must live in likewise manner as well. We must live as if we were to die that very day and give an account (Romans 14:12). Apostle Paul writes “I die daily” (1 Corinthians 15:31), meaning that each day, he was living less for self and more for God. We must die daily; die to sin, die to self and be willing to die for the Savior, so that when our curtain call is given or if the Lord returns before we face physical death, we can give the account as “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). In other words, we can give the account, that we died daily.
