There are a few things that are impossible according to the Bible. In other words, these are the things that a Christian cannot be or do. Matthew 6:24 expresses that a Christian cannot serve God and mammon. In other words, as a Christian, one cannot serve two masters.

Points to ponder:
There are many Christians who want or claim to serve Jesus Christ, but closer scrutiny reveals a lifestyle that revolves around the love of money, which is the root of all evil. Are you like one of them? Am I like one of them? Think of the areas in your life where your pursuits for worldly gain (primarily monetary) trump your service to God. Once you have that list, prayerfully commit the contents of that list to the Lord Jesus Christ, seeking his strength to swear allegiance to him alone and for him to be your sole Master. Who is your Master? Who is my Master? Let us remember, a Christian cannot serve both God and money (or for that matter any other thing).

Matthew 6:24 (KJV)
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
