Look up, Get down, Ask and Cover

The Bible records in Genesis 24:64-65 that Rebekah looked up and saw Isaac, and when she did, she got down from her camel and asked of the servant of Abraham, “Who is this man who is walking to meet us?” and when the servant identified, Isaac not as the son of Abraham, but as his master, she covered herself with her veil.

From this account we can learn some hidden truths.
We need to look up – at the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2) and when we see him, through his word, we need to get down from any lofty position that the world has put us in. We need to get down on our knees to worship, enquiring of the Holy spirit of God to reveal to us, the Son of God, our Master. And in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to cover ourselves in deference and worship lest his holiness consumes us.

Points to ponder:
Are you looking up at Jesus Christ?
Are you getting down on your knees or are you still at a lofty position?
Are you asking the Holy Spirit of God to reveal to us Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is walking to meet you?
Are you covered by the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, and protected from being consumed?

Genesis 24:64-65 (KJV)
64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.
65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
